As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our team. 


The Assistant General Manager at the Anna Maria Oyster Bar will play a crucial role in ensuring the restaurant’s day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the General Manager and the entire staff to maintain a positive dining experience for our guests and support the overall success of the restaurant. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys creating a fun atmosphere for customers and actively participating in community events. 


Staff Management: 

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff. 
  • Provide leadership and support to the team, fostering a positive and fun work environment. 
  • Manage employee scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak business hours. 

Customer Service: 

  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service and guest satisfaction. 
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues effectively and professionally. 
  • Create and maintain a fun and welcoming atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back for more. 

Community Involvement: 

  • Actively participate in local community events, fundraisers, and partnerships. 
  • Collaborate with the team to organize and host special events, such as themed nights or family-friendly activities. 
  • Foster strong community relationships and ensure [Restaurant Name] is a hub for local gatherings. 

Operations Management: 

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling standards. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory control to minimize waste and maximize profitability. 

 Financial Management: 

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to create and manage budgets. 
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Assist in cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies. 


  • Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in a seafood or casual dining environment. 
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software. 
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations. 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
