Oysters Rock – Storm Updates

Anna Maria Oyster Bar

The photos show Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the Bridge Street Pier, where the awning covering the deck is gone, but the building itself stands strong.

October 14th, 2024All team members are safe and accounted for. We’re thrilled to announce that all Anna Maria Oyster Bar locations, with the exception of AMOB on the Pier, are open and ready to serve you! After a brief operational pause, our teams at Landside, Cortez, Ellenton, UTC, and North Port are back in action with a limited menu. While our offerings may be limited, we’re still serving up your AMOB favorites with the same Five Star Fun you know and love.

We are incredibly grateful that none of our restaurants sustained structural damage, allowing us to reopen safely and quickly. Though AMOB on the Pier remains paused as the area continues to rebuild, we’re working hard to determine a reopening timeline and will keep you updated every step of the way.

We deeply appreciate your patience and support as we bounce back. Your loyalty means the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for a meal filled with delicious seafood, friendly service, and the vibrant atmosphere that makes AMOB special.

Café L’Europe

Unfortunately, Café L’Europe has sustained catastrophic damage from Hurricane Helene, and our operations are paused indefinitely as we begin the extensive process of repair and recovery.

 Helping after Helene

October 5, 2024 – We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Thanks to our close work with city officials, including the invaluable help of Bradenton Beach Police Chief Crosby, we’ve been able to maintain a steady supply chain to Bradenton Beach. A special thanks to CCAV Event Production & Rentals, whose box truck—generously packed with community-donated supplies—has been delivering essentials daily to those in need.

Each time we fill a truck, our amazing community steps up again to refill it, and for that, we are deeply thankful. At AMOB on the Pier, our pop-up tent is stocked with cleaning supplies and food, available to anyone in need. We’re there daily from 11 AM to 2 PM, with more resources arriving each day. The Salvation Army is also on-site, handing out water and meals to those affected.

None of this would be possible without the support of our partners: US Foods, the City of Bradenton Beach, Bradenton Beach Area Merchants, Manatee Community Foundation, Florida Power & Light, The Women’s Resource Center, The Market Boutique & Gifts, and CCAV Event Production & Rentals. Our community has truly become a hub of support.

If you’d like to help, please consider donating supplies at the links below.

Together, we are rebuilding and making a difference, and we couldn’t do it without the generosity and kindness of everyone involved.

Ways to help:

  • Donate to our “Shuckin’ Good Cause” employee relief fund, directly benefiting our displaced team members.
  • Contribute to the Manatee Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund to help hard-hit areas like Rubonia and northeast Bradenton.
  • Drop off cleaning supplies, gloves, and more at The Market Boutique and Gifts – Bradenton (6650 Cortez Road) from 11:00 AM–5 PM or AMOB Cortez before 11 AM or after 5 PM. These supplies are going directly to locals in Bradenton Beach.

We’re all in this together. Thank you for your continued support!
