For years, Anna Maria Oyster Bar Cortez has been more than a seafood restaurant in Bradenton. It has been a place where families gather, friends reconnect, celebrations happen, and traditions are made over fresh seafood and plenty of oysters.
Beginning August 3, Anna Maria Oyster Bar Cortez will temporarily pause operations through August 7 while we give the restaurant a well-deserved refresh. Before the work begins, we wanted to capture the restaurant just as it is today.
Every booth, nautical detail, and familiar corner has been part of the story of Cortez. Thousands of oysters have been shucked here, countless birthdays and anniversaries have been celebrated, and regular guests have become part of the Anna Maria Oyster Bar family.
These before photos are more than a look at the space. They are a snapshot of the memories that have filled the restaurant over the years.
The refresh will include new booth seating, updated guest spaces, improvements to the takeout area, and refreshed finishes throughout the restaurant. While guests will notice some exciting changes when we reopen, we are not changing the heart of Cortez.
The nostalgic nautical touches, familiar faces, welcoming atmosphere, and Five Star Fun that guests know and love are all staying right where they belong.
This project is about taking care of a restaurant that has taken care of our community for so many years. Investing in our spaces allows us to create a more comfortable experience for today’s guests while making sure Anna Maria Oyster Bar Cortez can continue serving the Bradenton community for years to come.
Visit Us While Cortez Is Closed
While Anna Maria Oyster Bar Cortez is closed August 3 through August 7, you can still enjoy your AMOB favorites at two nearby locations.
Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the Pier is located at 200 Bridge Street in the City of Bradenton Beach, about 15 minutes west of Cortez. Anna Maria Oyster Bar Landside is located at 6906 14th Street West in Bradenton, about 15 minutes south.
Both locations will be ready to welcome you with fresh seafood, friendly hospitality, and plenty of Five Star Fun.
