For Jared Weis, wearing pink has always been personal.
Jared, Regional Director of Oysters Rock Hospitality and a Bradenton native, has seen firsthand how cancer can affect a family. His mom was diagnosed with breast cancer more than 15 years ago, and thanks to early detection, she is still with us today. He has also watched friends and other family members face cancer, experiences that have stayed with him and continue to shape why he chooses to get involved.
In 2026, Jared is once again representing Oysters Rock Hospitality as a Men Wear Pink of Sarasota-Manatee Ambassador, joining other local leaders from across Sarasota and Manatee counties in supporting the American Cancer Society and its work in the fight against breast cancer.
For Jared, the campaign is about much more than wearing pink. It is about using his role in the community to support people facing cancer, honor the people who have fought it and help raise funds for research, advocacy and patient support.
“I’ve had cancer touch so many people in my life. Anything I can do to help, I’m all for it.”
That mindset is also closely tied to the way Jared approaches his role at Oysters Rock Hospitality. Our restaurants have been part of the Bradenton and Sarasota communities for more than 30 years, and giving back to the people and organizations around us has always been an important part of who we are.
Men Wear Pink gives Jared another opportunity to do exactly that.
The American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign brings together community leaders to raise awareness and funds in support of people affected by breast cancer. Money raised through the campaign helps advance the American Cancer Society’s work in cancer research, patient support and advocacy while helping more people prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer.
As the 2026 Men Wear Pink campaign gets underway in Sarasota-Manatee, we are proud to have Jared representing Oysters Rock Hospitality and proud to support a cause that means so much to him personally.
