Born in the vibrant town of Bartow, Florida, Trey’s journey in hospitality began with a bang—and a tray. During his first stint at Anna Maria Oyster Bar, he worked nearly every position imaginable: busser, expo, server, fry cook, and more. After gaining a global perspective as the Student Ambassador to Barcarrota, Spain with the Hernando De Soto Historical Society, Trey returned stateside and served as the organization’s Marketing Director for four years before rejoining the Oysters Rock Hospitality family in March 2022.
Hospitality, as Trey puts it, is practically in his DNA—what some might call “forced family fun” became a passion and career. “Talking to people from all over the world and seeing regulars turn into extended family is what makes this work so meaningful,” he shares.
Outside of work, Trey wears many hats: tech-savvy manager, youth soccer coach, and coffee enthusiast. His go-to drink? A Mango Caramel Iced Latte from Kefi—or really, any iced coffee with caramel. His go-to order? Carolina Style Wings, the Crab Stack, or a secret off-menu combo of half Clam Chowder and half Lobster Bisque.
When he’s not leading development projects or coaching the Saint Stephen’s girls’ soccer team into playoff contention, you’ll likely find Trey deep in construction plans or hyped for kitchen equipment delivery day (yes, it’s a thing). And his cat? A big fan of his snuggles, naps, and scratch skills—“10/10 would recommend.”
